Whether they were learning about the importance of personal protective equipment, studying instruments CAP uses to perform inspections, or examining the physics behind dropping an egg without it breaking, nearly 140 kids and grandkids of CAP employees woke up at sun-up to learn about the critical work CAP performs for central and southern Arizona.
Held annually at CAP headquarters, the kids spent this June morning learning about engineering, safety, search and rescue, and more.
CAP believes it’s important all Arizonans within its 3-county service area (Maricopa, Pinal and Pima counties) understand the importance of the Colorado River water CAP delivers, and so offers free educational materials to the public.
The goal of CAP Kids Day is to foster education among future generations of CAP employees about the importance of the work CAP performs, and to inspire the kids on their own future career paths.
