Some pulled a fire extinguisher pin and doused small, contained fires, likely for the first time. Others applied principles of physics to build balloon powered cars or learned the importance of cybersecurity.
All the kids received water industry education.
Across CAP headquarters during a recent summer morning, approximately 140 kids aged 8-18 – the children and grandchildren of CAP employees – enjoyed some of the 11 activities to learn about the critical work CAP performs for central and southern Arizona.
Held annually at CAP headquarters, Kids Day also aims to inspire future generations of CAP employees on their own future career paths.

If you live or work in central or southern Arizona, you have a connection to CAP. And so we offer free educational materials to the public.
Yet the future will be guided by kids like these who enjoyed a late-May morning learning about areas such as engineering, safety, and search and rescue, and even about the everyday working duties of their CAP-employed parents and grandparents.
