From 21-foot siphons to 66,000 horsepower pumps, CAP’s infrastructure is amazing! Our machine shop fabricates pieces of this infrastructure which are pretty incredible on their own, like these nuts. While most people are familiar with nuts that are ¼ to ½ inch, these are 5” nuts, have 8 threads per inch (TPI) and weigh 54 pounds. Each pump unit has 36 of these nuts. Definitely amazing!
