CAP employees being recognized at Uptime Awards

Uptime Magazine and ReliabilityWeb.com, a global leader in maintenance and reliability, presented Central Arizona Project with the Uptime Award for Best Work Execution Management Program at its international maintenance conference on Dec. 5.

Uptime awardThis award recognizes excellence in long-range work identification and planning, use of a risk register to organize and prioritize known work, development and execution of an annual maintenance plan, use of the maintenance and capital operations interruptions reporting system, and weekly planning processes.

“This is another great recognition of the continued progress we are making and our stance as a leader in the practice of reliability and asset management,” said Phil Rettinger, director of centralized maintenance and reliability.  “Perhaps most importantly, it highlights the exceptional work and dedication of our employees.”

Rettinger said the 12-page application detailed CAP’s planning process which has and will continue to evolve to ensure CAP remains an industry leader, reliably delivering water to Arizona.

The Uptime Awards were established in 2006 to honor high-performing maintenance teams worldwide for the results they produce. Past winners have included Merck Pharmaceuticals, Marathon Oil, Peabody Mining, Arizona Public Service and the Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati. CAP previously won Uptime Awards in 2015 for Best Leadership for Reliability Program and in 2018 for Best Asset Management Program.
