Boy scout troop at CAP headquarters

Twenty enthusiastic scouts with Scouting America (formerly Boy Scouts of America) spent two days last weekend at CAP Headquarters to work on their environmental science merit badge. A team led by Senior Industrial Hygienist Christina Collins developed environmentally focused activities that met the clearly defined requirements for the environmental science merit badge, which were completed in the desert on the Headquarters campus.

“We were able to touch on how CAP ties into those elements in several ways including how CAP delivers water to our desert communities and how the construction of the CAP aqueduct system was designed to minimize impacts to the surrounding environment,” said Collins.
