Integrity – doing the right thing with consistency and dedication
They say the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree and for Julie Lewis, Safety and CLD Assistant, that statement is definitely accurate. She is dedicated to her work, consistently serving people and delivering on her promises, an approach to work and life that she learned from her father.
“My father was a salt-of-the-earth man with an incredible work ethic and a strong moral compass; a man of integrity,” said Julie. “As his daughter, I was fortunate enough to see what a huge impact that had on everyone around him and I wanted to be just like him.”
And she is. Julie supports two departments, a role that is unique at CAP. In her 2+ years, she has built strong relationships with people at all levels of the organization. She treats everyone with respect and knows that helping them means organization-wide success.

“We’re busy at CAP and sometimes doing the right thing can take longer,” said Julie. “But I believe that I am always personally accountable for what I do, so I need to do what is right, every time.”
Those who work with her see that first-hand. Linda Vedo, Apprenticeship Supervisor, said Julie approaches her work with a vision of putting others first, doing what she says she is going to do and always serving those around her.
“When Julie says she is going to do something, she does just that, never cutting corners,” says Linda. “She doesn’t give false promises and always does things with the best intentions and to the best of her ability.”
Manager Darin Perkins said Julie is friendly and patient and her service-oriented approach to work makes others’ jobs easier.
“She is consistent and dedicated,” says Darin. “No matter what is asked of her, she always steps up to help others, even when it is a less-visible task.”
Her father has been gone for several years, but Julie continues the family legacy, demonstrating integrity every day and creating a lasting impact on those around her.
