Contact with or exposure to electricity continues to be one of the leading causes of workplace fatalities and injuries in the US, but at CAP, efforts to avoid being a statistic are ongoing. One way we accomplish this is by holding an annual Electrical Safety Symposium, hosted by the Electrical Safety Committee.
This year’s event kicked off with a welcome from General Manager Brenda Burman and featured educational sessions that focused on hazards that CAP’s qualified electrical workers face, presented by our in-house experts. In addition, guest speaker Zach Spicer shared his experience with a workplace accident that left him with second- and third-degree burns.
