Salt Gila Pumping Plant is the sixth pumping plant on the CAP system and is located in the east valley. It has 10 pumps, with a total capacity of 3,100 cubic feet per second (cfs). The plant lifts the water 84 feet from the Hayden-Rhodes Aqueduct to the Fannin-McFarland Aqueduct. It is staffed by six employees, including a supervisor, mechanic, electrician and maintenance worker.
