CAP’s Contract and Procurement Services team has been awarded the prestigious Annual Achievement of Excellence in Procurement (AEP) from the National Procurement Institute, Inc. – for the 16th consecutive year.
As a public entity, CAP does not make a profit and has a responsibility to deliver water at a reasonable price. As such, efficient management of our procurement process helps drive efforts to provide the best value to CAP water users from the ground level.
The AEP Award is earned by agencies that demonstrate a commitment to procurement excellence. This annual program recognizes procurement organizations that embrace innovation, professionalism, productivity, leadership and e-procurement.
Some quick facts about the award: For 2023, there were 194 successful applicants including 67 cities, 44 counties, 25 special districts (including CAP), 25 school districts, 17 higher education agencies, and five state or provincial agencies.
