Employee perspective: Moonlit morning

Moonlight on CAP canal

When CAP Electrical Inspector David Dent starts work, it’s often still dark. This moonlit morning was captured while he was working near Sandario Pumping Plant. The plant is the eleventh plant in the system, and it lifts water 75 feet. Sandario has six pumps; three are rated at 155 cubic feet per second (CFS) with 2,000 horsepower motors and three are rated at 50 CFS with 700 horsepower motors. It is mechanically identical to Twin Peaks Pumping Plant, the only two plants in the system that can claim that.
