CAWCD Board President Terry Goddard and fellow Board members, along with General Manager Brenda Burman and CAP staff members were honored to travel to the Colorado River Indian Tribes (CRIT) to celebrate an historic agreement in which CAWCD is acquiring more than 9,000 Extraordinary Conservation Intentionally Created Surplus credits. CRIT is making these credits available to the Central Arizona Groundwater Replenishment District to meet its groundwater replenishment responsibilities. Together, we are committed to protecting the Colorado River and the needs of CRIT’s tribal members while connecting much-needed resources to ensure the reliability of groundwater supplies within the CAP service area.
