CAP Education Materials

If knowledge is power, then learning about water should be at the top of all Arizonans’ to-do list. It definitely is on CAP’s list. In fact, it’s so important that CAP has developed free educational materials for all school-age children and actively supports the education of students, teachers and residents of our state.

Most recently, CAP partnered with SciTech Institute, an organization that is focused on cultivating an ecosystem of conscious STEM communities through awareness, connections and empowerment. CAP and the Flood Control District of Maricopa County collaborated with SciTech as part of its STEM Community Lunchtime Conversations. During the one-hour program, the audience of educators, students, and other collaborative organizations learned about CAP’s grade-specific water-focused programs as well as the CAP Award for Water Research.

Next on the educational agenda is education for adults – CAP University – Deeper Dive on Infrastructure and Maintenance from 9-11 a.m., Tuesday, March 22. This virtual event is open to everyone and will take an in-depth look at the CAP system as well as the maintenance, monitoring and power necessary to ensure reliable water deliveries.
