Curious about what the 2025 CAGRD Plan of Operation includes? Here’s your first look.
Every 10 years, the Central Arizona Groundwater Replenishment District (CAGRD) is required by law to submit a Plan of Operation to the director of the Arizona Department of Water Resources.
The last plan was submitted in 2014. Time flies … it’s nearly time to submit the 2025 Plan of Operation
But first, the draft 2025 Plan will be discussed at two upcoming public meetings:
- The Central Arizona Water Conservation District (CAWCD)’s CAGRD and Underground Storage Committee – Thursday, Aug. 15, 1:30 p.m.
- Stakeholder Briefing – Monday, Aug. 26, 1 p.m.
The draft 2025 Plan outlines the replenishment activities proposed in the Phoenix, Pinal and Tucson Active Management Areas during the next 100 years, based on CAGRD membership activity through 2034. The draft also includes an overview on where the water is coming from based on CAGRD’s Water Supply Portfolio.
Both meetings will be held at CAP headquarters, 23636 N. 7th Street in Phoenix and will be livestreamed here.
