CAP COVID 19 Updates

CAP employees begin to transition back to the office – CAWCD Board to meet in-person in August, but still with guests watching via livestream

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, CAP has operated with two overarching objectives in mind:

  • Keep the water flowing
  • Keep our employees safe so we can keep the water flowing

Based on the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which we are continually monitoring, CAP employees who have been working from home have begun transitioning back to their traditional work environments. This transition will be complete by Monday, Aug. 2.

The August CAWCD Board of Directors meeting will be held at CAP Headquarters on Thursday, Aug. 5 – the first time since April 2020 that the Board has met in-person. However, to ensure everyone’s safety, visitors will not be permitted on campus, and are encouraged to watch via livestream.

Unless CDC guidance changes between now and then, we look forward to welcoming visitors to the September Board meeting on Thursday, Sept. 2. Fully vaccinated visitors may choose to wear a face covering and social distance, but there will be no requirement to do so. Unvaccinated visitors must wear face coverings and socially distance in all common areas of all CAP buildings.
