Headquarters Maintenance electrician Chris Beloit manually switching a Pringle switch

Headquarters Maintenance electrician Chris Beloit was manually switching a 3000-Amp Pringle switch on SES-2, a procedure that is necessary when shedding and restoring load in a planned outage or resetting a tripped breaker during an unplanned outage. This job required him to wear Category-4 personal protective equipment (PPE), which includes Class 0 1000V-rated gloves and a 40 cal/cm2 suit.
